SnorkellingSabolo Island has a wooden pier that most people photograph before they do anything else — the backdrop is nothing but open blue sea.
The water is clear enough to snorkel straight off it, over coral reef and small fish. Jumping from the pier is, by all accounts, the point.

WildlifeAround 1,300 Komodo dragons breed here — two to three metres long, ninety kilos. A ranger walks with you.
SwimmingOne of the pinkest beaches on earth. Coral fragments in the white sand give it the colour.
